But first, there is fruit toast to be eaten. One of the few good things about London, in my book, is the availability of fruit toast on every second street corner, and of parks full of benches and pigeons and angry bird noises, in which you can eat your fruit toast just when it is nice and hot-buttered. So I take my hot-buttered fruit toast and sit in the sun, surrounded by traffic jams, and enjoy a brief hiatus before hurling myself into the thrill that is a day full of interviews.
